End of the Season

Is the glass 1/2 full ?   "I don't know,  but please stop using the measuring cup for diesel fuel"
My growing season ends this week, with the hours of sunlight and the suns intensity increasing every day our South Florida growing season is coming to a close . Now is time for farm clean up and storing equipment and paperwork. Every season has it's own personality a type of yearly journey ; you start out with a basic plan of growing and selling vegetables . Then comes all the variables such as weather;  frost/ freezes , heavy rain and flooding , hot weather,  insect problems, plant diseases ,equipment repair, slow sales & bad sales,  injuries, sickness  many things in farming are beyond  ones control.            I have found the only thing you have control of is your own attitude and the the only handicap in life is a bad one .

Over 4 years ago when I started growing Pineapples one of my short term  goals was to harvest 50 fruit a season.  Today I counted 57 plants with fruit in various stages of development , join this Site and win a farm fresh ripe Pineapple ( first come first serve , you  will be responsible to pick up you're fruit, fruit will be harvested some time this summer ) . I usually eat them or give them away to friends or family .  Join this Site and win a Pineapple
